36 players will be selected during the 10 qualifiers from September 19 till October 18 (starting Saturday at 6 p.m., Sunday at 3 p.m. by Moscow time zone). From each qualifier, only the first 3 places are guaranteed to be selected, and if the players in the Championship have already been selected according to other criteria, then these places are not transferred down to 4th and further place in the tournament. After all qualifiers have been held, players who are missing from the quota will be selected according to the "best qualifier basic ranking".

Basic ranking is a number from 0 to 1000 points, an indicator of the player's success in the tournament. It is calculated using the formula: BR = 1000 * (Number_of_players-Player's_place) / (Number_of_players-1).

Legend:

• "PQ" — "pre-qualified", a player enters one of two lists with 61 pre-qualified players and confirmed participation,
• "QT" — "qualified by tournaments", a player has qualified in tournament and confirmed participation,
• "N" — refusal to participate,
• "QTNN-P" — place P in the qualification tournament #NN,
• "Best BR" — basic rank in the best player's tournament,
• "QT Quota" — places reserved for the winners of the qualification tournaments.
